You will be prompted to enter the password again across all your iOS devices that use the same iCloud account. The latest iOS 10.3 (14E277)update seems to have forced re-authentication of your devices. My wife's iMac is probably the nicest computer in the house. You may receive a prompt on your Apple iOS devices that use the same iCloud account that a new device is being used on your account. It "works" but graphics performance is terrible and I've had all sorts of disk performance issues. The main issue is it's difficult to get anything like decent performance. The VM route is great because once you've got it working it's portable. That hardware pissed me off and had the poor judgment to be obsolete so it became target practice. I tried getting Facetime working on hacked-together rig.

More I find it interesting that all those companies would be so committed to making sure people CAN'T use their software in the way they want. I hope that VMware/Apple's lawyers are not wasting their time dealing with any of that sort of thing. Not really suggesting it's even a big deal. I'm not sure about facetime - there's a EULA you accept by using OS X but I don't know about a TOS. You're violating the iCloud TOS by using it with non-Apple hardware. You violated the OS X EULA by installing it on non-Apple hardware. You violated the VMware workstation EULA by modifying it to run OS X. Please message the moderators and we'll pull it back in.
